CyCraft Hosts First Taiwan-Japan Cybersecurity Forum, Paving a New Blueprint for Growth

On May 16, 2025, CyCraft Technology's Japanese subsidiary, CyCraft Japan Inc., hosted its first Taiwan-Japan cybersecurity forum, “CyCraft Day: Collaborative Growth in Japan-Taiwan Cybersecurity”, in Tokyo. The event attracted nearly 100 cybersecurity professionals, including representatives from major organizations such as NTT Group, Mitsubishi Electric Group, and Hitachi Group, as well as government agencies and media. Tsai Ming-Yao, Deputy Representative of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in Japan, also attended and delivered a keynote address. This gathering underscored CyCraft’s strong commitment to the Japanese market and its long-term dedication to collaboration and development in the region.

In light of the evolving East Asian geopolitical landscape—where “Taiwan’s security is Japan’s security”—Taiwan and Japan are both strategic hubs for cybersecurity in the Asia-Pacific region and crucial players in the global supply chain. There is a growing consensus on the need for regional joint defense and mutual growth. Since establishing its Japanese subsidiary in 2019, CyCraft has built strong partnerships with major Japanese trading companies and listed enterprises, offering localized professional services. Drawing from its deep experience serving Taiwan’s semiconductor, financial, and public sectors, CyCraft delivers innovative, practical cybersecurity solutions tailored to Japanese clients.

Key achievements include:

  • Supporting the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s SME Cybersecurity Support Program, helping over 100 SMEs adopt AI-driven endpoint defense.
  • Assisting a major nationwide Japanese service provider in implementing IASM (Identity Attack Surface Management) to strengthen account security.
  • Over 60 large enterprises in Japan have adopted CyCraft’s AI-powered EDR as their incident response (IR) solution.

Deputy Representative Tsai emphasized the importance of Japan-Taiwan cooperation in cybersecurity and recognized CyCraft’s globally competitive AI-driven defense technologies.

The event focused on the current state of the Japan-Taiwan cybersecurity landscape, with CyCraft sharing its insights into emerging threats. In his speech, CEO Dr. Benson Wu highlighted how in an era where “everything is AI,” hackers are also leveraging AI to identify vulnerabilities and devise new attack strategies. Defenders, he noted, must abandon traditional mindsets and embrace AI to build a more secure and resilient digital society.

CISO and Co-founder PK Tsung shared CyCraft’s practical experience helping Taiwan’s government, financial, and high-tech sectors adopt exposure management systems. He stressed that cybersecurity should shift from a reactive to a proactive strategy, using autonomous AI to preempt threats and achieve “victory without battle.”

Moreover, during the event, CyCraft announced the upcoming launch of its integrated XASM (eXtended Attack Surface Management) solution in Japan. This comprehensive cybersecurity framework combines External Attack Surface Management (EASM), Internal Attack Surface Management (IASM), and Endpoint Detection and Response/Managed Detection and Response (EDR/MDR) to deliver a one-stop, fully autonomous defense architecture for enterprises.

The event also marked the first public unveiling of CyCraft’s in-house developed Japanese-language LINE bot. Dr. Benson Wu concluded, “For the past eight years, CyCraft has focused on building AI-powered cyber resilience technologies, grounded in our values of integrity, mutual success, and impact. AI may be our magic, but our true superpower is trust and collaboration. Together, we’ll continue to protect the future resilience of both Japan and Taiwan.”
