CyCraft Japan and Tosho Computer Systems Announces Official Partnership: Implementing XCockpit EASM to Enhance Cyber Resilience of Japanese Financial Industries

CyCraft Japan (Headquarters: Chiyoda City, Tokyo; Country Manager: Sangwook Kang; hereinafter "CyCraft"), a subsidiary of the AI-native cybersecurity company CyCraft Technology, has announced the partnership with Tosho Computer Systems Co., Ltd. (株式会社東証コンピュータシステム, Headquarters: Minato City, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Yoshinobu Takebayashi), a leading Japanese IT service provider for the financial and securities industries.

In this collaboration, the two companies will leverage CyCraft XCockpit EASM (External Attack Surface Management) to help the Japanese financial industry build proactive defense and optimize cyber resilience. This partnership also marks one of CyCraft’s major strategic moves following its public listing in Taiwan, signaling the formal entry into the Japanese financial market.

Background and Objectives

In recent years, the rapid expansion of cloud migration and digital transformation in the financial industry has led to a massive increase in digital IT assets and publicly exposed information. Consequently, potential attack surfaces—such as unmonitored public assets, misconfigured permissions, and leaked credentials—have become primary sources of cyberattacks and data breaches.

Financial institutions, in particular, handle vast amounts of sensitive customer and transaction data. A security incident can severely damage their social reputation and threaten business continuity. Traditional security measures are no longer sufficient, making continuous and proactive risk management an urgent necessity.

Tosho Computer Systems brings extensive experience in IT system development and operations for the financial and securities industries, backed by long-standing client trust. CyCraft contributes its expertise in incident response and its proprietary AI-native autonomous security solutions. By combining Tosho Computer System’s industry knowledge with CyCraft’s technological edge, the partnership aims to provide highly effective security protections for the financial industry.

Looking ahead, the two companies also plan to explore the application of Generative AI and LLM in finance, extending their collaboration to AI security and broader domains to help financial institutions drive digital transformation safely.

About XCockpit EASM

XCockpit EASM is a solution designed to discover and analyze an enterprise's publicly exposed IT systems and digital assets to proactively detect signs of cyberattacks. It monitors the Internet, including the Dark Web and underground forums, to collect and analyze intelligence such as system configurations, component data, and leaked credentials that could be targeted by attackers.

Moreover, XCockpit EASM’s agentless mechanism enables rapid deployment with minimal impact on existing system environments. CyCraft’s unique AI models summarize detection results and security posture into accessible incident briefings in Chinese, English, and Japanese. This enables enterprises to easily understand and evaluate security threats without deep technical mastery.

XCockpit EASM also automates the process from risk assessment to report generation, facilitating continuous auditing even in large-scale environments. For detected issues, EASM automatically creates remediation tickets and ensures clarity in processing and progress tracking while reducing operational burdens.

Future Outlook

Sangwook Kang, Country Manager of CyCraft Japan, stated:

"We are honored and deeply grateful to enter this partnership with Tosho Computer Systems. Their proven track record in supporting Japan's IT and security infrastructure is invaluable to CyCraft Japan. This collaboration will begin with our XCockpit EASM to help Japanese firms manage external risks. We plan to strategically expand our cooperation into AI-driven threat analysis, incident response, and AI safety to contribute to a secure digital environment for our customers."

Tomoya Kotani, Senior Managing Executive Officer of Tosho Computer Systems, noted:

"The massive cyberattack on a prominent Japanese beverage manufacturer last year remains fresh in our minds. Cyber threats continue to escalate with no signs of slowing down. Investigations reveal that before such attacks occur, compromised credentials belonging to the target organization are often traded and exchanged within the Dark Web, an underground and generally inaccessible area of the Internet.

Leveraging the Dark Web intelligence capabilities of CyCraft’s XCockpit EASM, we can now detect these leaks early. Combined with our Dark Web Leak Notification Service (ダークウェブ漏洩お知らせサービス), we provide an affordable way to regularly monitor data breaches. This allows clients to identify precursors to cyberattacks and take proactive countermeasures. We believe this will significantly bolster our clients' security posture.

Moving forward, we will continue to provide high-value solutions to the securities, financial, and other industries to further strengthen their cybersecurity capabilities."
